I have noticed that we run a lot of non-progession runs lately. We focus on TOC25 as a guild and that is completed generally within one night, maybe two. Then we are off to ULD 25 and we dont have any real progession with that as we have knocked out 9/14 bosses in there. Ony doesnt give us any DPK.
So where is the DKP coming in? Solely on TOC25 right now, right?
We have several new raiders now, and they arent earning much DKP. My thought would be, since we arent getting much progression DKP, that everytime the guild runs together, there is some small amout of DKP given out. So when we run say ULD 25 and we knock out the bosses on our way TO the progression bosses, we got some small amount of DKP. This way, we will be moving forward and not backward in DKP.
How can the newer members get on the positive side of DKP when no DKP is being awarded?

I think they have changed Ulduar to now offer some DKP for the exact reasons you stated But yeah, we need to get serious in Uld and get that down, ICC isn't going to be the cake walk TotC is. Our coordination will need to be top notch so we don't spend the rest of the xpac wiping.

You bring up excellent points Bite. If we continue killing bosses in ToC the way we have been progressing lately, then I can see the dkp attendance awards only going out on a single night. And since we are a casual raiding guild, folks that miss that particular night, whichever night that ends up being, will have no other method of earning dkp until the server resets the next week.

We'll touch base with the officers to see if in fact, ulduar 25 has been adjusted to award dkp for bosses killed, etc.

Ulduar DKP UPDATE: we'll be giving out 25 per boss kill and only 50 dkp per item. This way folks can catch up, etc for their efforts to improve.
